inspiration

For some years now, really since I was a young girl, I've been fascinated by doll houses. I never ever built one, and still imagine that something that comes ready made but not painted would be easiest for me (of course painting the inside would be very hard then!), but I really want to make one. Really really badly. And maybe I'll let Eleana help, too.

E is watching for the first time ever Disney's animated Alice in Wonderland. It's an early Easter gift for her, what can I say. Alice won over Alvin, which was great because Alice was cheaper.

As I was taking a break from dishes to sit on the couch I caught the scene in which Alice goes into the white rabbit's house to find his gloves. That's when she eats the cookie and grows as big as the house. Before that happens, however, the viewer gets a great glimpse at the interior of this awesome house. It's all pink and bunnies and carrots and I super love it. I immediately thought I definitely need to make a doll house exactly like that house, or at least as much like it as possible. And if I can't find the rabbit shaped furniture, how hard could it be to make it? Right? Right?

Needless to say, it inspired me.
