dreaming in drawings

I've been drawing a lot lately...dreaming of decorating my new home. The bedroom is going to see the BIGGEST change...complete color scheme overhaul. We used to have a gold/purple/green setup...but it was too dreary. So I've changed it over to blue blue blue and WHITE. Calming. Serene. Lovely.



We'll be re-purposing one of my daughter's play chairs as a sidetable for the bed. Because we have MINIMAL wall space in this room. I mean seriously. The great thing about the chair is it has a little storage shelf under it. So books and things can go there. Simple. Lovely.

The living room gets a little change but not much. Going for brighter, and a little more white than usual...but otherwise, mostly the same. More blue though. We have a forest/woodland thing going on (which isn't apparent at all in this drawing) so we're doing red/green/blue. It's lovely I promise.



I also dreamed up a living room vision using the colors I want here at Polyvore. Which is controversial but so so fun!

See the art hanging on the wall below, the piece on the far left? That is art by miss Emily Martin of the Black Apple. It's called "Circle Time" and I own this. It WILL be hanging on my wall in my living room...and is in many ways the inspiration for my new space. Yay!
