Carnival Soiree is HERE!

Welcome, friends! This is it! The day we've been waiting for!

All day will be Carnival, can you believe it?! I am so very excited. I have made an item to share for the festivities, and my carnival tea is a-brewin' (good thing, too because I have a wicked cough today).

I want to share some of my favorite carnival/circus memories and things I love in general.

I guess my biggest love from any carnival/circus is cotton candy! I LOVE cotton candy! Especially the pink flavor. Which contributes to my love of the color pink.

And, as a native of Ohio I used to love the state fair. Ohio's state fair was always so awesome. And yet, every summer we'd visit Grandma in WV and try to go to WV's state fair, too. The best thing about WV's state fair was that they had a mini circus set up. They had it all - elephants, jugglers, clowns, ringmaster, cotton candy! I thought it was so cool to go to a fair and see a circus performance.

And I was always so mystified by the REAL LIFE MERMAID booth. I could kind of tell the woman wasn't really a mermaid, but at the same time...how'd they get her to be so small? The mermaid was probably no larger than 6 inches tall. Amazing. And she was always very beautiful.

So I am inviting you, readers, to share in the comments section your carnival memories, or favorites! I will be back soon to post some fun pictures. Be sure to check Lisa's blog for some giveaways and other exciting photos and stories!

Hello, nice to meet you! One carnival memory is when I was a little girl, my dad took me on the Ferris Wheel and just rocked it when we were on top! Needless to say, I'm afraid of them now!!! hahahahaha...

My favorite memories are of all the animals, especially the monkeys. Oh, yes, and that tasty, sticky, yummy cotton candy.
